1910 DALMATION Dog Card J14 Church & Dwight Soda MONTREAL Canadian RARE

This rare and colorful card is one in a series of  30 dog cards issued during  1910 by  the Church and Dwight Company on
Montreal
, in
CANADA
entitled “New Series of Dogs”  This series is designated as J14a in Burdick’s American Card Catalogue.  One was inserted into each package of their Arm and Hammer Brand Baking Soda.  Each card features a portrait of the breed done by the famous Dog Artist G Muss Arnolt on the front of the card, and an informative description and history of the breed on the back.   This card features a DALMATION  and is number 27 in the series. This is one of the smaller sized versions measuring  2 5/16  inches by 1 ½  approximately.  The card does have some creasing   I have scanned the front and back of the card fairly large so you can determine the condition for  yourself.
This is a Scarce CANADIAN VERSION that has the MONTREAL ADDRESS on the back.
Because of the population difference between the
US
and
Canada
not as many packages of Soda were sold in
Canada
.  Because of this, less of these card were printed and inserted in to the packages, making them far rarer than their
US
counterparts.    This would make an excellent display piece or addition to any   owner, enthusiast or breeder of these dogs.   It also would make an excellent display piece or addition to any Church and Dwight Collector.
